MySiteCMS Learning Center - Training, Tips, and Tricks

Sales Page Defaults

Show Cropped Listing Images: When photos are uploaded to your MySiteCMS website we resize and thumbnail each image. These thumbnails are displayed in the product list pages for your visitors see. Thumbnails come in 2 types, cropped (squared) and normal. The normal thumbnail is just a smaller version of the image, portrait oriented images appear taller, while oriented  landscape appear wider. The cropped thumbnail provides a more consistent look to a page with several images or varying orientations.

Display Listings Format: Currently MySiteCMS has 2 versions of our product listings. List View is much like the blog list style of posting, images are placed to the left of the details section, with the price to the far right. The gallery format are tiles that line the page from left to right, until it reaches the side of the page, then drops down to the next line. Limited information is offered in the gallery view, however this view offers the most listings on the viewable page.

Sales Listings Sort Order: Several sale listing sort options are available, such as age (newest/oldest), price (highest/lowest), product number (alphabetical), and title (alphabetical).

Show Listing Item Prices: This is a handy feature for quickly removing the prices from the website while making changes or before traveling to a tradeshow to insure no one makes a purchase while you're away. When turning prices off, you should enter a message to inform visitors why they see no prices. "Contact us" is standard or try "Call for pricing."

Additional Shipping/Handling: This turns on/off the base shipping/handling amount on the next line. This amount is added to all purchases in the shopping cart.

Credit Card Checkout: Turning on/off the credit card checkout feature on your website does just that, removes the ability to check out using a credit card. If the PayPalcheckout feature is turned off as well, visitors will simply not be able to complete orders.

PayPal Checkout: Turning on/off the PayPal checkout  feature on your website does just that, removes the ability to check out using PayPal. If the credit card checkout feature  is turned off as well, visitors will simply not be able to complete orders.

PayPal Account Email: Enter your PayPal account email on the next line. Your PayPal address must be verified to be used. Please check your email and use the link sent to verify the account you enter. PayPal accounts must also be set up as a business account. For the specifics please see PayPal for the benifits of upgrading to a business account.

Order Confirmation: This is the text and information would like to share with visitors after a successful shopping cart purchase. This can be simple text, additional links/information regarding their order, or links to social media sites.
